AI profiles are reusable instructions that guide the tone and behavior of AI-generated catalog content. They support consistent output across individual suggestions, translations, and bulk jobs.
A profile guides the selected model but does not replace model selection. An appropriate model provides the required capabilities, while the profile shapes its output.

Where profiles are used

Profile selection is available for:
  • Generate a product description or SEO field with AI Assist
  • Generate one translation or suggestions for all configured languages
  • Create an AI Job for translation, content generation, or image alt text
AI Assist falls back to the profile marked as default when no profile is selected. Translation controls and AI Jobs support explicit profile selection for each action. AI Studio uses Presets instead of profiles. A profile controls catalog language and behavior; a preset stores reusable instructions and inputs for campaign-image generation.

Profile configuration

Profiles are managed under AI → Profiles in Enad Admin. Create Profile opens the following settings:
  • Name identifies the profile in selection controls.
  • Instructions define reusable guidance for generated output.
  • Include categories and Include collections add relevant catalog context. The exact data used depends on the AI action.
  • Is default marks the fallback profile used by AI Assist when no profile is selected.
App edit permission is required to create, change, or delete profiles.

Instruction design

Effective instructions are specific enough to apply without interpretation and limited to rules that remain relevant across multiple AI actions.

Brand

Explain what the brand represents, who it speaks to, and which qualities should be reflected in the content.

Tone

Describe the voice with concrete traits, such as direct, warm, technical, or premium.

Terminology

State preferred product terms, capitalization, units, and words that must not be translated.

Rules

Add durable constraints such as claims to avoid, required information, and formatting expectations.
Example:
Vague instructions such as “make it good” or “write on-brand” provide little direction. Task-specific requests belong in the optional AI Assist guideline or in job guidance rather than in a reusable profile.

Brand guide PDF

With an active AI integration, Distill PDF extracts a summary, key facts, style guidelines, and constraints from a PDF. The workflow consists of uploading the brand guide, reviewing and refining the extracted text, and accepting the result into the profile instructions.
Extracted guidance requires review. The source PDF and the extraction can contain outdated, conflicting, or irrelevant rules.

AI Assist

AI Assist on supported product and SEO fields includes:
  • AI integration selection
  • Profile selection
  • An optional guideline for the current suggestion
  • Generation, review, and approval controls
The profile supplies reusable rules. The optional guideline applies to the current suggestion.

Translations

Translation controls support profiles for both single-language and all-language suggestions. The selected integration and profile apply to the generated result. Profiles help preserve tone, terminology, and non-translatable brand terms across languages. Each target language requires review before approval because a profile does not guarantee equal quality in every language.

Bulk AI jobs

AI Job configuration includes:
  • AI integration and profile
  • Job type: translation, content generation, or image alt text
  • Content types, records, fields, and languages
  • Optional job-specific guidance
The integration and profile apply across the job. Job guidance describes the current task, while the profile contains reusable rules.

Profile maintenance

  • Each profile should focus on one recognizable voice or use case.
  • Names such as Main brand voice, Technical product copy, or Swedish translations make selection clear.
  • Changes should be tested on representative content before use in bulk jobs.
  • Profiles should be updated when terminology or brand guidance changes.
  • Obsolete profiles should be removed to avoid conflicting guidance.
Existing profiles provide Edit in the panel header. Deletion is available from the profile menu and the edit view.
